Ballet for grown-ups
Rated this place:
Aside from a year-long stint doing "jazz ballet" as an 11-year-old, I never took dance classes as a kid. But I always wanted to, so a few years ago I signed up for beginner adult ballet at NBS. The classes are fantastic, whether you're a true beginner as I was or are picking ballet up again. They're all pre-registered, so you progressively learn new things every week, and are taught in the amazing Jarvis Street facilities with professional teachers and a live accompanist. 7+ years of levels means you can keep learning for a long, long time, and you wouldn't believe how many compliments I get on my posture now that I've learned to stand tall.
