The Detroit Eatery is the type of place that still feels like the type of place everyone smokes in, years after the no-smoking law went into effect. There's always a soccer or hockey game on the tube, and the bacon and eggs are cheap and greasy. Hits the spot. Perfect place to settle in with a book.

Great old place, all full of Detroit Red Wing jerseys and pictures. Many signed hockey player photos too, so I'm guessing they go there. I went to try it and liked it after Jim Cuddy from Blue Rodeo mentioned it in Now Magazine. Try the Hot Hamburger
