Used bookstore

Eliot's Bookshop

Not only is it a nice break from BMV, its usually much less crowded and with all kinds of tough to find tomes. 3-4 floors hold tons of books, and its rickety steps always give me a chuckle. highly recommended.

Used bookshop

Rated this place:

Don't let the yonge street address fool you as this is toronto's best bookshop. the 60,000 volumes come with the charm of musty air, creaking floors and stepladders.

Eliot's Bookshop

Three floors packed with books, books, books at prices marked down so low I can hardly bear to leave without getting something. The old-fashioned wooden shelves and early editions of classic literature are an English major’s dream come true! (They have cheap popular novels too.) They even have those sliding ladders you can climb to reach the top shelves, like Audrey Hepburn does in Funny Face. Plus, the staff is always helpful, with a good sense of humour.
