Cockktail lover's dream

Like a lot of restaurants in town that comes with a sorta-high pricetag, Sidecar offers a very reasonable $22 prix fix menu that offers several appetizer and main course options, along with a chef’s choice of dessert.

However, the real reason to come in is the knowledgeable bar staff and great cocktail menu. The Sidecar is, after all, a classic cocktail that dates back to around WWI. Here, they update the brandy drink with a hint of tangerine – a very refreshing take on a timeless cocktail.

Updated versions of old faves is something they do really well at Sidecar (see: the Badass Mojito) but it’s also just about the only place in town that serves a pure and simple Pisco Sour. It’s actually on the menu and made in the traditional way, egg whites and all.

This college eatery has a retro vibe that imbues your dinner dates with extra charm. The varied menu offers everything from seared tuna and tempura to risotto and lamb chops, so there is something for nearly everyone’s tastes.The cocktail and food pairings are a cute idea and appropriate too, considering it would be a crime to leave without sampling the Rooibos #1, a delectable blend of gin, pimms #1 and rooibos tea or the namesake of th3e restaurant- the classic sidecar.

The new resto-lounge -- named after the cocktail -- has just opened in Little Italy. Owner/chef Bill Sweete (North 44, Bymark) has created a short menu and full cocktail list. Soups, salads, pastas and meat dishes are all on the Italian-influenced menu...

1 will make you giddy, two and you're under the table. Could it be the 151 proof rum? But seriously - super yummy mojito, perfectly muddled with a splash of raspberries
