It brings back memories of waking up on Sunday morning, opening my front door, and sitting there would be a bag of steaming hot bagels that my grandfather dropped off before any of us woke up! That, and it's the best bagel in the world. Fluffy, crunchy, salty, and toasty all in the right places. Try the weird little pizzas, too.

Toronto's bagels have a tendency to be more of a bun than a bagel. I'm no lover of Montreal, but there they get bagels. This is the closest in TO to Montreal, and proper style, bagels. Texture is dense but not a teeth puller and right amount of saltiness! Dee-lish!

Big fan of St Urbaine, but these are the ultimate bagel, toasted or plain, perfect crispness on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside

Never been to the actual bakery but I buy these every time I am at Whole Foods. The best toasted bagel ever

The Jewish families lined up on weekend mornings know where it's at! My intro to Gryfe's bagels during girlhood sleepovers at a friend's home where they were a large part of the a.m. brekkie ritual. During my 4 years in Montreal, I developed a real taste for that city’s denser, chewier creations but that didn’t make me forget the soft, sweet comfort of a Gryfe's bagel. When they are fresh out of the oven, there's no need for cream cheese or lox. Stay away if you're watching your carb intake!
