A great place to spend a rainy afternoon, leisurely strolling through the galleries...the exhibits are great and the gift shop is full of prints and neat finds!

Place to volunteer

Rated this place:

Art Gallery of Ontario

Sure, volunteering at film festivals is glamorous. But the year-round prize goes to Cinematheque Ontario, which screens classics and recent international films at the AGO's Jackman Hall. Volunteering there isn't difficult, if you're prompt, responsible, and courteous, but the perks are great! As long as there's a free seat in the theatre, you get to stick around and watch the film. The regulars are a friendly, smart bunch, and the staff are total sweethearts. What more could a film buff want?

Family art class

Rated this place:

Art Gallery of Ontario

The AGO offers a weekend class called Side by Side. It's an art class for a kid and parent to take together and an opportunity for grown-ups to get their hands dirty and make stuff. Mediums explored include printmaking, drawing, sculpture and painting.
