Spicy burritos

It's a no-nonsense food stop for cheap and quick burritos, both jumbo-size and regular. I had their chicken burrito, which had ground chicken with tomatoes, lettuce and spicy sauce, as well as their jumbo chicken satay burrito, which had the same ingredients only the chicken was skewered. The spiciness was just enough; not overwhelming, with just the right amount of kick.

I have to avert my eyes because of how ugly and dirty this place is.....but oh wow.....yummy burritos. The legendary place to go after bar hopping on Queen St. West.

I love this restaurant. It's called New York Subway, but the food has little to do with New York or subs. The main fare goes by the name of burritos, but it's Mexican food viewed through a South Asian filter. And yet the food is unlike anything you've ever tasted. All of this, to me, is the quintessential Toronto -- bits and pieces of cultures from all over the world, combined to make something unique and truly wonderful.
