Event venue

Rated this place:

We gave my uncle a surprise birthday party here and in between running around on errands to get the cake in on time before he arrived, I am grateful that they had a dressing room where I could change out of my sweats and into my party gear. They've got an Old World feel here, with a very sophisticated vibe. If you have seniors as guests here, there are a lot of stairs! The parking can also get very packed and you may have to walk quite a distance away, probably better in the summer.

Cozy and warm afternoon tea room

Rated this place:

Old Mill Inn & Spa

It's not often that I make the journey to the Old Mill Inn & Spa, hailing from Scarborough and a seasoned downtown Toronto girl. But hidden away in Toronto's west-end, the Old Mill Inn & Spa offers a wonderful break from the day-to-day busyness of city life. A rustic and traditional property, the architecture is reminiscent of an inn somewhere in the Swiss countryside - it's no wonder so many Toronto natives retreat to the Old Mill on weekends and for events!

My favourite thing to do at the Old Mill Inn & Spa is to go on a Saturday afternoon for their Afternoon Tea from 2-4pm. The tea room is hidden away at the back of the restaurant looking out onto flower gardens and is a truly one-of-a-kind warm atmosphere for your afternoon tea. Tea with finger sandwiches, scones, jams and devonshire cream and desserts/tarts are offered with the set.

The Old Mill's main dining room offers a warm atmosphere, simple elegance and cozy at the same time. Buffet lunches and dinner/dancing are available throughout the week and Sunday Brunches and Sunday Dinner Buffet take place on the weekend.

The Old Mill's inn and meeting rooms are all elegantly decorated full with poster beds and wooden fireplace mantles. The spa blends the Old Mill's elegance with a modern touch, a great atmosphere for relaxation and pampering. The offer facials, manicures, pedicures, massages, body treatments, bridal packages as well as corporate packages for groups. The Old Mill property is also a popular place for photography, wedding photography, wedding ceremonies and celebration banquets (retirements, weddings, birthdays or anniversaries).

Buffet lunch with mom or grandma

Rated this place:

Old Mill Inn & Spa

This place has old-world charm to spare, and a lavish spread of hot and cold dishes to please most any palate (meat, fish and vegetable dishes, fruits, cheeses and desserts, piled theatrically on linened tables). The stone walls, high beamed ceilings, 19th century art and crest collection, and attentive, uniformed pentagenarian waitstaff make you feel like you've left Toronto entirely and ended up at some European hunting lodge, on the scenic banks of a river other than the Humber.

High tea

Rated this place:

The high tea at the Old Mill Inn, was an exquisite experience. The champaign flute, the little sandwiches, the tea selection and the white glove service was all so British royalty-like.

Spa

Rated this place:

I got a gift once to go to the Old Mill. It’s a little pricey, but it has to be the best spa ever :) It’s so calming and relaxing. The Spa is located inside the Old Mill Hotel which gives it a very classic appeal, with rich history.
