Chinese lantern festival

Rated this place:

We wanted to attend the Chinese lantern festival when it was here but circumstances prevented it. We would love to attend in 2008 if they have another one. We love Ontario Place at the best of times especially at night,

Awesome Venue for a wedding or corporate even

Rated this place:

Ontario Place

I have photographed many weddings at Ontario Place and I wanted to let people know that this is a great venue to host a wedding at as well as to shoot wedding pictures at. The many times I have been there everyone raves about the staff and the food. In the last few years they have spent tons of money renovating the venue and it is so much more classy than when Atlantis was a club. This is not the same place now and I would host any event here. I should also mention I have been to a few corporate events here and out of town people love it because of it's location and huge windows to see the city from.

A great place to take the whole family on a sunny summer day. There are so many fun activities to do with the kids. They have lot’s of rides for various age groups and make sure you bring your bathing suit for the water park! They have several food kiosks but it can be pricey so bring your own (healthier) picnic. I have never been to see it but friends tell me how much they love the Chinese Lantern Festival. Ontario Place also hosts some really great summer concerts at the Molson Amphitheater which is located in the park.

The only entrance ticket you should buy is for the Chinese Lantern Festival, which not only allows you to see amazing displays and cool cultural performances (like a girl juggling chairs and a huge urn with her feet), but also includes entrance to the CNE. Buy the festival tickets in the day to get into the CNE and end the date with an evening at Ontario Place, where they also have food kiosks (ha! Mandarin!) if you crave Asian cuisine. ETA: I just found out it's free AFTER 6pm! Be forewarned!
