Awesome gelato!

This is probably the closest you will get to true authentic Italian gelato without having to go to Italy. In the summertime this place is always packed and they are open on the weekends to midnight if you suddenly get a late night craving. I’ve seen line-ups snaking out of the store even at 11 p.m! La Paloma has so many varieties of gelato to satisfy anyone’s taste buds. Some of my favorite flavours include Forest Berries, and anything with chocolate and hazelnuts. They also sell other desserts and pastries for anyone not in the mood for gelato.

While its cold treats have smooth texture like that of traditional Italian gelato east of the Atlantic, La Paloma's flavours suffer from what tastes like artificial flavouring. Twice the cost of a Baskin Robbin’s cone, it’s fair to expect significant superior quality. Some flavours like the pistachio (with bits of nuts) are worth the extra price, but fruit flavours like watermelon just tastes like a creamy Jolly Rancher.
