Although the Pepper Jack is often frequented as a downtown lunch and dinner spot, I like it best for live shows. The stage is tiny and the drinks are only just average in price—but they have this grungy, carpeted upstaris area with pooltables and couches that is invincible. Offering a perfect birds-eye view of the stage below, it’s like being in the basement of “That 70’s Show” but without the smoke and annoying foriegn kid. Oh, and in the summer, the front patio is pretty much amazing.
