The steak sandiwch - ordered by the inch, and cut from a monstrous, counter-long creation teasingly displayed at the deli - is exactly what I picture whenever I hear "sandwich." The bread has the best crunch, and everything packed in between it is pure gourmet. The desserts are hard to pass up too.

I love this gourmet shop because it reminds me of the food vendors along the beach in Italy. This place sells specialty Italian foods that I can't find anywhere else. The desserts and lunch choices here are also amazing. There's a huge selection of prepared salads and paninis, sushi and pastas. For dessert, try one of the many mini tarts, cookies and pastries, or bring a cake home, like LaRocca Cakes' strawberry shortcake. I think it's the best I have ever tasted. It's light, fluffy, topped with fresh strawberries and real cream....yummy.

Novelty.

Don't give me attitude while selling me a Dufflet cake in a pastry chef uniform unless you A) are a pastry chef, or B) work at Dufflet. What's up with the staff? The manager SNAPPED at my sister for almost taking a picture of me in front of the cakes. My sister calmly explained to her that she didn't appreciate being snapped at. The woman said that they "don't want photos leaking to the competition"... the competition? What competition? Sorry but, you didn't create any of the things you're selling. You aren't even a real pastry chef lady.This place is novelty, and not even close to artisan or gourmet. Head to St. Lawrence market for the real deal, where vendors have real pride in their craft.

Their gourmet ingredients are the best -- you can get real crab meat there. I like going there because I like looking at new ingredients and they have stuff there that no one else has.
