Almond croissant

Rated this place:

I once bought almond butter to spread on bread when I was craving Rahier's almond croissants. Big mistake. It tasted exactly like peanut butter. I'll be sticking to Rahier's.

Great croissant

Rated this place:

I have a few faves for croissant in Toronto, and they're all a bit different. But Rahier is damn good, no question. I just wish I lived closer.

Breakfast

Rated this place:

Coming down here on a Saturday or Sunday morning is great, because they have a deal for breakfast, coffee & Croissant or danish for $3.00. If you can go on Sunday, you can park on the street, it's free until 1pm. On Saturday or rest of week you can park on any of the residential streets for free. Their apricot tartes are fantastic too. But regarding their cakes or their tartes try to get there early in the morning, because they tend to sell out really really really fast. The good news is that they're open 7 days a week.

Birthday cake

Rated this place:

No birthday is complete without a delicious cake. More than just a repository for candles, Rahier's delicious cakes are moist and are rich without being too heavy. There's nothing sicky sweet about these cakes. Everything is delicately sweetened to perfection. If you're a chocoholic like me, you'll love the fact that Rahier uses the good stuff. A bite of a heavenly Rahier creation will have you immediately fantasizing about your second piece.

Croissant

Rated this place:

They make superb mousses, tarts, eclairs, petits fours, cakes and everything in between, but they won my heart for their soft-yet-crispy-and-flaky, buttery, buttery croissants.
