I can just imagine relaxing there now...now in its own building, Rain Day has always offered excellent service and is great for every single treatment I've done there (and I've done quite a few!) ...love it!

Mud Therapy dangerous, unhealthy, unprofessio

I went for a mud therapy hoping that this spa will know what they are doing. Unfortunatley, i was so disappointing that I said that I must notify other people. i read all reviews before going to this place and there was nothing on mud therapy. First of all you should know before doing a mud therapy what to expect. You are put in an extremely dark room. I am not sure what am I not supposed to see. It is ridiculous. The temperature in this room is extremely high. It is like a Sauna room. You are covered with mud. i asked what minerals are in this mud. The girl did not know how to answer my question and told me it was just mud for all purposes. You are then covered with a thermal sheet for more heat (just like a Turkey in an oven). In addition there is also a blanket on top of all that. In the room there is no window. If you know you have high blood pressure or heart problems, that is extremely dangerous. However, usually in europe mud therapy is done with a professional who would know what to do for either low or high blood pressure. Also, you are left in a room for 20 minutes with no ring to buzz if you need help. There is no window in the room . In addition there is the smell of campher. How on earth do they assume that people are not allergic to campher. That is unacceptable. In addition, after all this heat you are lying in the bath tub and take an extremely hot shower. That is terrible. That is not right at all. The temperature should be low to cool the body off. After that, you are asked to drink a hot tea also!! unbelievable. Please do not ever go there to do a mud therapy. This place is just a rip off with no professional staff. The large building, music and lovely Thai personnel are only the facade but in reality there is no good service. This is a perfect example of trying to impress clients with music, dark rooms etc.. Oh I forgot!! their the staff did not know how to use the elevator and she had been there for 2 years!!!

I went to Rain for a man/pedi and massage. I knew the prices were much more expensive than most places charge for a mani/pedi but i figured the experience would be worth it.....wrong. Wait, the pedi was great, but the Bio-Gel nails I got started splitting and breaking within the first week. After 10 days, 5 of my nails were broken. Massage was fabulous, pedi was great....but don't waste money on the "Bio-Gel".
