Not bad for dim sum in Chinatown!

Rated this place:

As for dim sum quality, this place is great for it's location. The food was tasteful but pricey to what I pay in Scarborough & Markham. Overall, this place is amazing for a weekend venture for asian cuisine.

Perfect.

Rated this place:

A perfect, speedy, greasy, take on dim sum. A neighborhood staple, without the novelty of the push carts. Fresher, faster, and often more delicious items than any other dim sum place on the strip.

One of the best Dim Sum places in Chinatown

Rated this place:

Also not the cheapest, but in this case, you definitely get what you pay for - and still loads cheaper than other alternatives of similar quality.

Yes, they serve dim sum. And it rules.

Rol San Restaurant

Definitely my favourite Chinatown spot for dim sum, and worth going to with lots of people so that you can experience all the flavours. Dim sum staples like har gow (shrimp dumplings), siu mai (pork dumplings), sticky rice in lotus leaf and all manner of buns, rice rolls, spare ribs and other delicacies are all steamed or deep fried to perfection.I love the deep fried squid and curried cuttlefish, as well as the stuffed eggplant and beancurd dishes, both of which are golden brown and brimming with minced shrimp. For me, a dim sum brunch at Rol San is usually the only meal I have that day. About halfway through a meal at Rol San, I have to order a cola to cut through some of the heaviness in my stomach, but I always go for a second round. It’s just too good not to.It’s often packed to the gills on weekends. I recommend waiting for a spot in the semi-hidden back room, even though it’s a bit more chaotic back there.
