I agree with Adrienne that they have an awesome cookbook collection at She Said Boom! You would never know it unless you walked in or read these reviews. I went back to this place a few times in the same week to purchase some recently published cookbooks by celeb chefs like Nigella Lawson and Ina Garten. They were so cheap I had to go back for more. I'm talking $12 for a book that retails at $50. And the books were in great condition too. She Said Boom is also a place where you can buy new and used CDs, vinyl and DVDs. The next rainy afternoon we get, head to this well-stocked little shop to browse through the many great finds.

Yes, I'm faving another bookstore - but trust me! I know my bookstores.

The staff here is so friendly, and makes an effort to get to know the people in the neighborhood. Their featured table always has at least one selection that I'll take home with me

It also has a special place in my heart because of all the bookstores that I love, She Said Boom is the closest in proximity to my apartment. Their vinyl section isn't half-bad either.

This charming shop is perfect for lazy afternoon browsing. Its laid back vibe means you'll never feel pressured to purchase. While the shop is relatively small, its keepers manage to jam in a lot of quality content. I usually skip the music & movies in favour of the book section. While I've found great fiction reads at garage sale prices, I especially love the surprisingly extensive cookbook collection that has often led me to expand my own!

I generally buy books online as they're less expensive and delivered to my door, but She Said Boom-- for whatever reason-- always has lots of things sitting out that I want to buy, and cheaper than online bookstores.
