I come here for the grilled wings and bean salad; Delicious when ordered spicy. A good variety of beers. Service is hit-or-miss on the back patio. Run-down pseudo-tiki decor is charming.

Queen street can be cozy

Squirly's is one of those places that is always all good vibes / great atmosphere. The back room (and summer patio) are the place to sit, on the big, high-backed, animal print loveseats. I like coming here for brunch, and also for drinks and snacks late at night. I always end up ordering the KLB raspberry wheat beer (on tap!) even though there are lots of other perfectly good options.

The staff all seem to have great taste in music, because whatever's pumping through the PA is always good. Plus, I love it when my favourite waiter convinces me to have a pitcher instead of a pint. There's something about the camaraderie that feels so right.

Squirly's is definitely a Queen West institution that has changed very little over the past 10 - 15 or so years that I've been going there. And that is a wonderful thing.

Comfy Queen St. gem

I love this place; Great vibe, everything on the menu is quality and the beer selection always has a few wildcards thrown in. As a bonus, the staff music picks are so interesting that I’m often locked in for an albums length worth of eating. Grab a table in front with your honey bun, or take over the couches in the back room for your next birthday. Squirly’s is a gem.
