The st. lawrence market is just one of those places you have to go in order to understand the appeal. there are some really great booths with fresh produce, bakeries, gourmet spreads, pre-made meals ... you name it. it is open until 7:30 which is great for last minute dinners. i would highly suggest their eggplant and tomato stacks found in the basement level across from the fruit stand.

Everything is here -- well, not quite. I hope they'll have more tropical and exotic fruits so I don't have to go the Chinatown. Every Torontonian should shop here at least once in their lifetime :)

I go there for their freash fish. Frozen fish loses some of the moisture and when you cook it it is dry. Freash is always better and St Lawrence has the best!
