I just got back from working in Europe for the last few years, and decided to go back to the restaurant that I used to go to with my father when i was a lot younger.I grew up right around the corner from The Tulip. I remember when the staff would come over and chat with my family, we were pretty regular, since my father would take us there for lunch/dinner whenever he got a chance.So it was a weekday night, and as usual the place was busy, just like I remember.I got a seat at the bar and just had to order the Club House sandwich, my favorite. The manager came over, and started to ask about my father. Wow talk about family! She actually remembered me!The Tulip has always had that family vibe, from when you sit down to when you finish with your delicious pie.The sandwich was as great as when I was a kid.Since this visit, I took some friends over for a dinner, and we all ordered the steaks, again, what can I say other than they were great.Hopefully one day I'll be able to take my kids.
