The Value is undeniable

Rated this place:

Value Village Stores Ltd

I often shop second hand because it's an environmentally friendly, economical and often very stylish way to build a wardrobe, and shopping for clothes at Value Village is always a fun, creative experience.

However, what I love most about going to Value Village is actually rooting through the electronics and kitchenware departments. I once found a full set of five different sizes of cocktail and wine glasses for only a buck or two a piece (they currently form the bedrock of my party supply cabinet). I love vintage glasses with interesting patterns and old chrome and bakelite party dishes, and while they aren't in constant supply at Value Village, it's worth checking frequently for these kinds of gems.

I recommend it not only for people looking for a bargain but also to collectors of neat, old obscure and rare trinkets. One person's trash can easily become another's treasure at VV.

Value Village

Rated this place:

Thrift stores like Value Village has pushed my creativity by inventing outfits off the fly with their second-hand assortments, and I'm proud to say that this is where I learned to perfect the art of layering, done in dressing rooms, usually with my shopping buddy's verdict. Not only does it feel sinless to know that my once $50 high school budget went a long way but shopping second-hand is totally environmentally friendly and puts less burden to our already-crammed landfills. Bountiful clothes, curtains, housewares, sporting goods and even furniture can be bought here, yet selection varies from store to store.
