Amazing...

Rated this place:

It’s an amazing hotel. I stayed there for three nights. Room service, food service all was fantastic. There was a luxury bathroom with a large jacuzzi tub. I would love staying again in this hotel happily.

Fancy schmacy and damn good afternoon tea

Rated this place:

Windsor Arms Hotel

When you step through the doors at the Windsor Arms Hotel, you'll know why it's rated the #1 hotel in Toronto by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine. From start to finish, the service is impeccable, the food is excellent and the elegant decor offers boutique luxury at its best.

The hotel is hidden away off of busy Bloor St. just steps away from trendy Yorkville, Williams-Sonoma and the University of Toronto's beautiful Victoria College campus. Popular amongst locals as much as it is with its visiting guests, the Windsor Arms offers a number of amenities and restaurants to suit your tastes.

A favourite of mine is the Windsor Arm's Tea Room, consistently known as one of Toronto's best High Tea or Afternoon Tea rooms since 1927. The experience is truly an "elegant afternoon indulgence," and perfect for special occasions like bridal showers or a Mother's Day treat. A bright French-style tea room or lush, majestic purple room offer two ambiances to suit your style.

Tea begins with a flute of sparkling wine and a selection of traditional and exotic teas. Asparagus and smoked salmon sandwich roulades, quiche tarts, delicious dessert pastries are served along with some of Toronto's best scones complete with devonshire and jams on the side. An absolute treat and the perfect place to spoil someone special in your life!

La creme de la creme ...

Rated this place:

Pristine luxury with the usual army of hotel workers prepping weddings, film festival events, fashion parties, galas and performances is what this exquisite venue is known for. Complete with a piano lounge and a spa, la crème de la crème of any industry can be seen here dining with cocktails of course.

Spa

Rated this place:

Lovely small hotel spa. Easy to dash in and out of. Clean. Nice clientele - not snobby at all. There's a swimming pool and a sauna one can use. Very comfortable without too much attention. Most importantly, they give you the proper amount of time - unlike some spas I've been to where the RMT's don't give you a full 'hands on' one hour massage. Holt Renfrew's spa is the worst for cheating you of time.

Place to take your wealthy 72-year-old aunt

Rated this place:

It's stuffy enough for the elderly aunt, while being upscale enough and fancy enough to pretend you are royalty.

Poshest place to take your mum

Rated this place:

Windsor Arms Hotel

My Mum is British. She knows tea. We’ve tried Epic at the Royal York and the King Eddy, but the Windsor Arms won for taste and presentation. Elegant with comfy seating and a fireplace, the room seats 42. ‘Ladies who lunch’ book it for bridal and baby showers, or Sex and the City style get-togethers. Dainty sandwiches, pastries and sweets meet fresh baked scones, devon cream and hot tea, served daily at 1 and 3:30pm. Reserve seats well in advance. Cream Tea is $24 per person, Full Tea $30.
