Located at the corner of Harbord and Borden, this charming restaurant has been satisfying diners with its authentic Peruvian cuisine and welcoming atmosphere for more than 30 years. While I can’t speak for the food – although everything looks and smells incredible – I can say that Boulevard Cafe’s homemade sangria is one of the best in the city. Order a pitcher of the red wine sangria (or you can choose to have white wine as your base, known as sangria blanca), which is appropriately thick in texture and sweetened with cubes of apples, oranges and peaches. Add Boulevard’s canopied patio overlooking Harbord and you’ve got yourself a perfect evening out.
