Greek food: Anatoli's is a great family run Greek restaurant who know and love good food. The chicken lemon soup is the best in the city, the pita is warm and fresh, the chicken souvlaki is perfectly good and the service is friendly.

Japanese food: Everything is fresh, simple and beautifully put together. Excellent agedashi eggplant, lotus tempura, tuna sashimi and more. The sushi chefs are friendly and the waitresses are incredibly polite.

Oldest chinese bakery

Oldest chinese bakery: I live for Chinese pastries. Whether it's a lotus bun, a pineapple bun, or a red bean bun, I have yet to be dissapointed. This gem is Chinatown's oldest bakery and seems to have a long list of regulars.

Modern sushi: The restaurant is chic and modern and the ambiance is intimate. They serve great martinis mixed with sake and some excellent rolls. Pricey but worth it.

Grocery store: This grocery store by Christie station carries all my favourite Asian products at a reasonable price. I go to stock up on tofu noodles, sushi rice, spicy red pepper sauce, pumpkin cakes and green tea ice cream!

Korean food: This tiny restaurant on Queen West has a family-run feel to it. The service is great and they serve all of my favorite Korean dishes including a great Bi Bim Bap. Every meal is ended with a homemade shot of a hot, sweet, cinnamon drink with pine nuts, that the server told me her grandmother used to make.

Grilled seafood: You have to love a place that grills fresh seafood right before your eyes. I always order the grilled salmon that they smother with a blend of garlic and herbs after grilling it to perfection. It is the closest you can get to heaven at lunchtime. The portions are friendly and the prices reasonable.

Lunch spot: This place sells more than just cheesecake. Located on Bellair in the heart of Yorkville (near my work), I go for the great homemade soups, salads, fresh bread and reasonable prices. The portions are generous too!
