Utopia Cafe & Grill

Rated this place:

586 College St, Toronto, ON, M6G1B3

Veggie burger: It tastes like the real thing but only better. Utopia is a hidden gem. The portions are huge, fries are incredible, prices are cheap, food is delicious and the patio is where its at.

Hero Certified Burgers

Rated this place:

650 1/2 Queen St. W., Toronto, Ontario, M6J 1E4

Burger: They use gourmet ingredients and have quite the variety of free toppings to pile on to your burger and sesame/poppy seed bun. The location at Queen & Palmerston is open late which is great when you've had a bit too much to drink at one of the nearby bars.

Over Easy

Rated this place:

208 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M5S3B4

Brunch place: Their extensive menu makes it difficult to choose from but rest assured every dish is delicious. Bloody Mary's are only $5 too. My favourite dish is the Eggs Bruschetta. Yum Yum!

Booster Juice

Rated this place:

1250 Brant, Toronto, ON, L7P1X8

Matcha green tea smoothie: It contains the perfect blend of matcha green tea, soy milk and frozen yogurt. They'll also make the drink for you with chocolate milk instead if you like and both versions taste great.

Czehoski

Rated this place:

678 Queen W, Toronto, ON, M6J1E5

Eggs benedict: The eggs are poached to perfection and served a top a freshly baked Thuet croissant with flavourful smoked salmon in the middle. Eating this for breakfast while sitting atop their beautiful patio is a wonderful way to start your day. Oh, and one of their superb mojito's doesn't hurt either.

Torito

Rated this place:

276 Augusta Ave., Toronto, Ontario, M5T2L9

Beet salad: Their beet and goat cheese salad is extremely fresh and flavourful and is the perfect size for an appetizer. I've had this type of salad at many different restaurants but for some reason Torito seems to make it the best, with Marben trailing in a close second.

Hemingway's Restaurant

Rated this place:

142 Cumberland St, Toronto, ON, M5R1A8

Sweet potato fries: They have a rich flavour and are baked to a crisped perfection. They are also reasonably priced and taste even better after a few drinks.

Sushi On Bloor

Rated this place:

515 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M5S1Y4

Cheap sushi restaurant: For $5 you can get an 8 piece roll (I like getting the Honour Roll) plus miso soup, green tea and your choice of red bean or green tea ice cream. Now that's what I call a cheap and scrumptious dinner!

Capocaccia

Rated this place:

1366 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON, M4T3A7

Caprese salad

Caprese salad: They use a buffalo mozzerella which has a richer taste than regular bocconcini and the dressing they use to decorate the plate tastes like honey and cinammon even though I'm pretty sure it's just a balsamic vinegrette.

Crepes A Go Go

Rated this place:

18 Yorkville Avenue, Toronto, ON, M4W3Y8

Crepe restaurant: This little french cafe is a hidden oasis amongst the many pretentious restaurants in Yorkville. The crepes are delicious and come with a variety of fillings. TThey are well priced and a refreshing minty lemonade offers a nice accompaniment. The waiters speak in French which adds to the authenticity of the place.

Goed Eten

Rated this place:

66 1/2 Nassau St., Toronto, ON, M5T 1M5

Belgian waffle

Belgian waffle: The fresh waffles are baked in front of you and melt in your mouth. They taste great with the organic ice cream that is made in house. Bonus: Their grilled sandwiches which are made on waffles are incredibly tasty too!

Rated this place:

490 Queen St. W., Toronto, ON, M5V 2B3

Coffee shop: Their iced matcha chai latte is the perfect summertime pick me up and all their food and drinks are organic. Their laid back atmosphere, combined with high ceilings, open windows and free wi-fi create an ideal space for working.

Solferino Cafe -- CLOSED

Rated this place:

38 Wellington Street East, Toronto, ON, M5E1C8

Gelato: It's the most authentic tasting with lots of flavours to choose from. I usually end up getting a double scoop of oreo and mochaccino. There is also a park directly across the street which offers the perfect place to enjoy your sweet treat.
