Voluminous Healthy Hair!: Last Friday - my intern, Jen and I took the afternoon off to go and experience the new Schwarzkopf Glamour Queen Volume Spray while getting a blow-dry at the gorgeous Tony Chaar Salon - located at 11 Hazelton Ave. in Yorkville. I got my blow-dry and style from Tony Chaar - who was hilarious, down-to-earth, and so much fun! We had such a wonderful time - and my hair has never looked and felt more healthy and voluminous! Mmmm Delicious! : Ice Cream Patio – located at 149 Rowntree Dairy Rd., in Woodbridge – is by far, one of my top 3 favourite Italian Restaurants of all time! From the casual relaxed atmosphere and patio to the friendly staff and incredible food – let me tell you, it’s worth the drive to Woodbridge! The menu includes everything from antipasti (which has the best Insalata Caprese with a delicious pesto) pasta’s (you have to try their homemade a la vodka sauce!), to full entrees and of course their famous wood oven pizzas and scrumptious desserts. A definite Must-Visit!

The Best Penne ala Vodka: Situated ‘downstairs’ (which is what “Sotto” means in English) at 116 Avenue Road, Sotto Sotto Trattoria is known for bringing the romance of Italy to life! From the intimate candle-lit dining room, the mouth-watering Italian menu and the best Penne ala Vodka I’ve ever had – Sotto Sotto’s is by far my favourite Italian restaurant in the city! And if you live uptown – you can visit ‘Sotto in the Village’ located at 425 Spadina Road, where they even serve brunch with French Toast, Waffles and Uova Benedette! Now that’s Amore! Buon Appetito!

The Perfect Scent: Bath & Body Works has been a favourite store of mine for many years now. I still remember the days - before it came to Canada – when I would jump in my ’97 Honda Civic and drive all the way to Buffalo, New York, just to get my Coconut Lime Verbena Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Soap (on sale of course, 3 for $10!! Yiippee!). But what I love the most about Bath & Body Works, is the wide variety of affordable beauty products! From luxurious body butters, invigorating shower gels, fragrant lotions to scented candles and home accessories – there is definitely something in there for everyone! My favourite Bath & Body Works product right now is the SCENTPORT Home Fragrance Diffuser in Stress Relief – Eucalyptus. A Definite Must-Try!

The Spa Pedicure: Ladies, the time has finally come to say good-bye UGG’s and hello Havaianas! But before you slide in to your favourite flip flops – It’s a must to make sure your feet are in tip top Summer condition. So, a few weeks ago I headed over to Concepts Day Spa Salon to get my first Pedicure of the season – and let me tell you, it felt great! It was by far the best pedicure I have ever had, not only because the warm soapy water was the perfect temperature and the foot and leg massage was super relaxing – but after several weeks, it still looks exactly the same as when I left the spa without even one chip! Yiippeee! Make sure to ask for Debbie – I highly recommend her! Also, did you know? That darker nail polish shades take longer to dry? So, if you’re in a hurry while at the salon – you might want to try choosing a lighter shade!

A Great Salon Experience: This past week, my sister Kristina and I took Friday afternoon off and headed to Solo Bace – a fun, yet, upscale hair salon located at 860 Yonge Street. My sister got gorgeous blonde highlights from Stylist/Colorist – Darrell, who did an incredible job and was extremely entertaining – and, I got a blow-dry from Shaareen who taught me how to get the perfect side part! It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely go back! (*FYI - when parting your hair to the side, start the part right above the arch in your eyebrow!)
