this microbrewery offers a fun brewery tour throughout the entire plant with a detailed explanation of how they make their great tasting beer as well as where they source their ingredients... it's also nice that they're VERY generous with their samples ;)

It's just the best beer out there, hands down.

Cute green bottles and sweet retro logo aside, Steam Whistle is a refreshingly tasty pilsner, and it's brewed right downtown at the historic John St. Roundhouse, just south of the CN Tower. While they are upgrading their facilities you can take advantage of half-price ($4) tours - learn about how beer gets made, get a souvenir glass or opener to take home, and drink as much free pilsner as you can throw down your greedy gullet. Ferris Bueller would have put this on his "to-do" list.

Man, the free beer is something you can't beat. Go in for 'samples' and get loaded, or at least die trying.

Not only does it taste great, Steam Whistle is Canadian and completely footprint-free meaning that everything they do from creating the beer to bottling it, is environmentally-friendly.

You walk in a piece of Toronto history and a couple tickets for free beer! Cant beat that. The location is key as we are close to the Skydome, and in the middle of everything. Cool connection is the founders are from my neighbourhood, and are really chill guys.

excellent beer - plus you can head down to the Roundhouse for some free samples and take a fun tour of the factory for only $8 (bottle opener or beer glass incl). And you get to pull the actual steam whistle!
